Kingdoms will collide.
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don't.
With her heart sworn to the warrior-prince by her side, and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, and dark forces become poised to claim her world, the only chance for salvation will lie in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
In this breathtaking fifth installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, Aelin will have to choose what—and who—to sacrifice if she's to keep the world of Erilea from breaking apart.

Reread review
This review is probably going to be chaotic because this book … this freacking book! I cannot even put words to all the feelings I have about it (all positive thought, I am just a wreck right now).
I thought I was prepared because I knew everything that was going to happen. But I wasn’t and honestly reading that ending again, when you know what is going to happen, it hurt even more than the first time. I cried, like literal tears, and I never cry when I read books. I can get teary eyed, but that is it.
But I am jumping ahead here, because before the most epic ending in the history of books that I read, Empire of Storms was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Honestly, rereading the entire series made me appreciate each book even more than the first time around, but Empire of Storms is one my favorite book of the series (Kingdom of Ash being my favorite on the same level, at least for now - might change upon second reading, thought I doubt it).
To me Empire of Storms delivers so much in terms of action, plot twists, jaw dropping moment, but most importantly for me: the best relationships.

Aelin and Rowan, Manon and Dorian, the beginning of Aedion and Lysandra, but my underrated favorite is definitely Elide and Lorcan. I mean, I love Aelin and Rowan, but Elide and Lorcan were just so precious in this book and at the end, it broke my heart, I ship them so much!

Anyway, I loved this book, if that wasn’t clear enough before.
