She is the greatest assassin her world has ever known. But does she have the heart of a killer?
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. But Calaena is far from loyal to the crown. Keeping up the charade - while pretending to do the king's bidding - will test her skills in an entirely new way. And it certainly isn't the only point of confusion for the young girl. Because though she's made her choice between Dorian and Chaol, the ways of the heart are never simple...

Reread review
Weirdly, I remembered more from this second book than the first one.
But I had forgotten how sort of violent this book was, like sh*t definitely go down in this second book and Celaena is a beast! (in a good way). I mean these books are badass and I love it!
! SPOILER !

Also, in my mind, Celaena was with Chaol during the entire book when they actually were together for a week. *shooked*

! END OF SPOILER !
When I first read the series, I really liked Chaol as a character and could not understand why people didn’t like him. But this reread kind of made me change my mind. I still love Chaol because I know how his character will develop, but he is so narrow minded in the first and second book, that I honestly wanted to shake him at times.
Honestly, I am so happy I decided to reread this entire series, I love it so much!
