A year ago, Seth made a deal with the gods - and pledged his life to them. Now, Apollo has a task for Seth: one which sees him playing protector over a beautiful, feisty girl who's strictly off-limits. And for someone who has a problem with restraint, this assignment might be Seth's most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy's deal is, but he arrives in her life just as everything she's ever known is turned upside down. Either she's going insane, or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is heading her way.

Josie can't decide which is more dangerous: an angry Titan seeking vengeance? Or the golden-eyed, secretive Seth - and the white-hot attraction developing between them...

What I thought of it?

I honestly thought I couldn’t love Seth’s character even more than I already did, but this book proved me wrong!

The Return was everything I expected from a spin-off series and more! I loved that JLA went with the NA genre for this book. I think it really added an element to the series and it allowed such an electric tension between Josie and Seth!

I also loved that JLA stayed true to the original Covenant series by making this book filled with action and the storyline she created for this series is already super interesting. I can’t wait to see how Josie’s character will develop in the next book based on what happened at the end of The Return

I also really enjoyed seeing Seth’s character development and I believe that his point of view really added to the story. To me, Seth is a complex character and seeing how he processes things was just amazing and I think I really understood him better that way.

That being said, I felt like JLA was often repeating things that happened in the Covenant series in this book as if someone could simply start this series without reading the Covenant first. And I guess it is technically possible, but then it must be so confusing. This book mentions a lot of characters from the Covenant series, and it might be annoying to read about them if you are not familiar with these characters. So I think the Titan series is best enjoyed after reading the Covenant series, especially because this book focuses on Seth and he is super important in the Covenant series as well. And it would be realistically pointless to read the Covenant series after the Titan series because the entire story of the Covenant is spoiled in this book.

But overall, I loved this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
